Description :

Built in the 1890's Seabrook House is a lovely Victorian property with many of its original features preserved. Recently renovated each spacious room has first class ensuite facilities and all are tastefully decorated to a high standard in keeping with the age of elegance. Many rooms have views across the Channel and around the bay to Dungeness. Seabrook House is well located for the ports of Folkestone and Dover, both of which are approx. 15 minutes drive away, whilst The Channel Tunnel is on our doorstep and can be reached in just over 5 minutes. We are situated close to the M20 with direct routes to London, and the main coast road (A259) for drives through the wonderful 'fifth continent' of Romney Marsh to Rye and Hastings. With mainline railway stations and a regular bus service, travelling could not be easier. With its reputation as one of the main smuggling areas in Britain it is not surprising to find lovely old village pubs right next door to most of the churches. The ancient Cinque Port of Hythe is a pleasant and restful town approximatley five miles west of Folkestone. A walk along the high street will provide you with interesting shops, many fine old buildings and an abundance of pubs, restaurants and cafes. The nearby Royal Military Canal offers an interesting twenty minute walk, along the towpath, to Hythe. Sandgate, with its many antique shops, is a little further on in the opposite direction. For the more strenuous walker the Elham Valley Way, the Saxon Shore Way and the North Downs Way should provide all you need. Other more local activities, apart from the beach, are golf, windsurfing, fresh water and sea fishing, cycling (hire-shop nearby), an excellent swimming pool, tennis, bowls and horse racing.

Directions

Seabrook House is situated on the a259 on the eastern outskirts of Hythe. From the m20 exit at junction 12 (1 km south of the Channel Tunnel exit) signposted Cheriton. On leaving the motorway follow the signs for Cheriton onto a dual carriageway, immediately take the right hand lane for approx. 200 metres and turn right towards 'Tesco' supermarket (signposted b2064 Hythe). After a further 200 metres you will come to a set of traffic lights, turn left here onto Horn Street (signposted b2064 Hythe) and follow this winding lane for just over a kilometre until you reach a 't' junction with 'The Fountain ' public house on the left. At this junction turn right and you will find Seabrook House on your right in approx 0.5 km (look out for our blue and yellow sign). From the Dover Ferry Terminal follow the signs for Folkestone and London (a20) for approx 12km until the a20 merges into the m20 - junction 12 is 1km from the start of the motorway.
